I did a lot of work on my precise piecing tips today as I made the tiny units for a sample block. I'm really pretty happy with the results, and the only decision remaining is which fabric to use for the larger squares and rectangles in the block which make up the background. I've narrowed it down to 4 possible choices. Want to vote?

I would go with one of the first two--it just depends on the look you want. The first is really my favorite, but if you're looking for a really bold look you should go for the second. I feel like the last two don't provide enough contrast with the piecing.
ReplyDeleteThe first one. It has just the right amount of contrast and balance.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the first one.
